Being micro-examined is all part of photographing a wedding. Your portfolio, personality, charging structure - it all goes under the magnifying glass. And that goes for every job.
So mix-in a bride who's a graphic artist and a partner at the renowned Illustries wedding book design firm and you heap a little extra magnification on to the pile. Sam sees lots of wedding photography. Lots. I guess I'm fortunate to find this motivating.
In their search for a laid-back, rural, yet luxury venue, Sam and Mark found Axnoller. Set deep in the Dorset countryside, this gorgeous Georgian farmhouse has been painstakingly renovated by owner, Alo, over the past couple of years and has spectacular views over the River Axe.
With stunning interiors and spa treatments on tap, this location is so much more than a wedding venue. it's pure luxury. It may be new to the scene but I have no doubt Axnoller will be a huge hit once word gets around.
The sunny feel to the day belies the fact that right up until mid-morning it was windy and chucking it down. But it just goes to show that keeping a little faith pays off and in the end it all comes together - regardless of what your weather app tells you...
