Jana is my new crazy Brazilian friend. Why crazy? Together with Rob, she lives in California, but this couple braved cool, festive London drizzle for their big day. Anybody’s definition of bonkers, surely.
And yet, it was perfect. Various locations within the stunning Kew Gardens played host to this lovely bunch of people. Guests from all over the world attended a wedding that hit an ideal balance of fun and emotion.
Due to Jana and Rob's base on America’s west coast, contact was always via Skype. Jana would pop-up full of gusto, and Rob would lean into the webcam looking slightly dazed. Between them I always had the impression this would be lovely day with which to be involved.
Below are just some of the shots that, in my opinion, capture the mood. Between Brazilian ladies skipping around a Richmond hotel room, Rob's ushers breaking out the guitar to liven up the Routemaster ride to the ceremony and a post wedding walk through Kew's famous Christmas light trail - I'm utterly spoiled for choice when selecting a highlight.
Despite these obvious choices, I'm going to plump for their bespoke flip-flops. I think I may even have some made for my wife's Valentine's Day present.
